Incidentals

Photographing for myself is a way for me to collect my time. Not purely images - understanding, perspective, pieces of my own history... Things I can return to, learn from, and share as I want later. This is where the moments  that didn't fit anywhere else, but that I wasn't willing to let pass by uncollected, live.

Palestine demonstrations, London 2023-2025

I have been attending protests and demonstrations calling for a free Palestine since they began nationally in 2023. I've stood shoulder to shoulder to people, in our millions and our billions, men, women, herds of children who have more conscience than most, army's of the elderly who have seen far too much despair - all of us calling for a recognised, protected and rebuilt Palestine. For an end to occupation.

In these demonstrations I have seen struggles shared by so many, an empathy and understanding stretched so far beyond what we often experience everyday, living our struggles in quiet isolation behind closed doors. Here, people bring every last one of them to the street to stoke the fire and layer humanness, rage and mostly love to create momentum and change. It's powerful and impossible not care, impossible not to start seeing the same injustice as well as the same fight in every corner of life afterwards.

Free Palestine, Congo, Yemen, Sudan, Tigray - all people, anywhere, living under oppression, occupation and persecution. None of us are free until we all are.
